Inaugural English Expo showcases Mississippi鈥檚 legacy of literature

STARKVILLE, Miss.鈥斕劳诽踱檚 Department of English offers high school students an opportunity to immerse themselves in Mississippi鈥檚 rich legacy of literature鈥攄emonstrating the multitude of educational and professional options available to English majors鈥攁t an inaugural English Expo this fall.
鈥淓nglish Expo: Mississippi in the World鈥 is free of charge on Friday, Sept. 27 from 8 a.m. 4 p.m. in the Colvard Student Union. Participants can explore the world of English, including literature, writing studies, linguistics, creative writing and film studies.
Students in grades 9-12 will engage in interactive activities such as learning to film, creating movie posters, 鈥榖reaking out鈥 of literary escape rooms, and writing at hands-on creative stations.
