ÌÀÍ·Ìõ Libraries announces new and improved Scholars Junction institutional repository

ÌÀÍ·Ìõ Libraries is announcing the new and improved Scholars Junction (), ÌÀÍ·Ìõ's institutional repository.

The new platform for Scholars Junction, Digital Commons, provides additional functionality for the repository to host open access journals, events and associated archival material, image galleries, books, usage statistics and more.

Scholars Junction now will be the official repository for ÌÀÍ·Ìõ scholarship and creative activities, as well as open educational resources, department archives, museums and galleries, administrative documents, ÌÀÍ·Ìõ research reports and much more. With unlimited storage capacity, Scholars Junction is the official data repository for university-created research data and is the official ÌÀÍ·Ìõ open data repository for all federal grants mandating shared data.

In addition to serving as a repository of faculty and student scholarship and research, Scholars Junction also includes all ÌÀÍ·Ìõ electronic theses and dissertations, materials digitized from University Archives and Special Collections, Ulysses S. Grant Presidential Library collections and material from the Frank and Virginia Williams Collection of Lincolniana.

Along with the new Scholars Junction, ÌÀÍ·Ìõ Libraries has become a member of CrossRef, which enables the assignment of DOIs to select repository items. The assignment of DOIs facilitates the discovery of repository content and provides permanent linking without concern of future changes.
