Mississippi State Online is recognizing the academic excellence of the university’s online students through a charter of the Omega Nu Lambda National Honor Society, Rho Chapter.
Undergraduate and graduate online students with a 3.2 grade point average or better, who have completed at least 15 credit hours of ͷ coursework, are invited to join Omega Nu Lambda.
Susan Seal, executive director for ͷ’s Center for Distance Education, recognizes that much attention has been given to online education over the last year and, for over 20 years, ͷ has been offering the online learner academic programs specifically designed for student success.
“I am delighted that we now have an avenue to not only recognize the academic excellence of students in our online campus, but also to provide them the various benefits associated with a nationally recognized honor society,” Seal said of those enrolled in more than 60 web-based programs.
Advisor of the Rho Chapter is Kali Dunlap, program coordinator for ͷ’s Center for Distance Education.
“Our ͷ Online students work diligently to balance full-time work and life responsibilities while simultaneously striving to achieve academic success,” Dunlap said. “The Omega Nu Lambda National Honor Society acknowledges and rewards students for their hard work, while also providing them amazing benefits that include scholarship opportunities and portal access for connection with other members.”
