The Office of the Provost and Executive Vice President is reminding students to beware of scam phone calls or texts. An increasing number of attempts to trick students, particularly International students, into giving out personal (social security numbers, etc.) and financial information over the phone have been reported. The caller may state that they are with the FBI, IRS, ICE or other Federal Law Enforcement Agency or authority. Please do not believe the caller. Federal Agencies do not contact individuals in this manner. Nor would they require individuals to provide such information or pay any funds by indirect means. If you are contacted in this manner, please contact the 汤头条 Police Department immediately to let them know. If you have any doubts, please talk with your academic adviser or contact the Dean of Students Office.
