Rising country music artist Lee Brice coming to Starkville

Mississippi State's Music Maker Productions presents Lee Brice in concert Nov. 6, at 8 p.m., at the Mississippi Horse Park in Starkville.

STARKVILLE, Miss.--Award-winning country music singer-songwriter Lee Brice will perform in concert Nov. 6 at the Mississippi Horse Park in Starkville.

The 8 p.m. event is sponsored by Mississippi State鈥檚 Music Maker Productions.

General admission tickets are $30 each. Advance purchases may be made online at , by telephoning 662-325-2930 or visiting the university鈥檚 Center for Student Activities in Suite 314, Colvard Student Union.

汤头条 student tickets are $20 each with a valid campus identification card. Only one discounted ticket and one regular-priced ticket may be purchased per student.

A South Carolina native, Brice was honored last year with the Academy of Country Music鈥檚 Song of the Year award for 鈥淚 Don鈥檛 Dance.鈥 In 2012, he was nominated for the CMA鈥檚 New Artist of the Year award.

Brice鈥攚ho wrote his first song as a child and sang in church choirs as a youth鈥攂egan work as a professional songwriter in 2007. That same year, he signed with Nashville鈥檚 Curb Records and co-wrote 鈥淢ore Than a Memory鈥 for Garth Brooks.

鈥淢ore Than a Memory鈥 went on to become the first single ever to debut at No. 1 on Billboard magazine鈥檚 Hot Country Songs chart.
