Changes coming to Sanderson Center next week

Big changes are coming to Mississippi State芒聙聶s Sanderson Center next week as it updates the software that manages facility access, memberships, equipment inventory and product sales. This new system is going live on Monday [March 9], according to officials.

The software, Innosoft Fusion, is an integrated system that includes point of sale, accounting, registrations and facility scheduling features. It will boost efficiency by streamlining day-to-day operations, provide better tracking of facility usage, and has an online portal so event registration and membership renewals can be done online.

With improvement, though, will come some changes.

One major change is that members will now need to input their nine-digit 汤头条 ID number, and then place their right hand into the HandKey reader in order to access the facility. Consequently, it will be necessary to remember the 9-digit identification number or bring an ID card for access. Members may no longer simply swipe or tap an ID card.

Secondly, after March 9, in order to check out equipment, members will need to present an 汤头条 ID card. The new software provides a better system of tracking inventory, so in order to check out a basketball or a towel, patrons will need an 汤头条 ID card. An ID card will also be necessary to check in for an AMPED session. As always, an ID card is required to play an intramural sport.

The most significant improvement is the addition of an online portal through which members may register for swim lessons, access an IMLeagues account, or renew an existing membership and pay by credit card. New faculty, staff and sponsored members will still need to come by the Member Services Office of the Sanderson Center to establish a membership, but after that, they may renew online. (Please note that sponsored guests must be renewed by the sponsor only.) Only credit card transactions may be made through the portal.

Making the switch to the new software will require that the center recapture some information. Most important, it will be necessary for members to re-scan their hand. During the next few weeks, a kiosk will be available in the Sanderson Center for you to do that quickly and efficiently. Members are asked to take a minute to stop by and let staff update your information. You will not need your ID for this step, but you will need your 汤头条 NetID.

In order to train staff on the new software, the Sanderson Center will be closed on Monday, and then reopen for regular operations at 5:30 a.m. on Tuesday [March 10].

The staff appreciates your patience and understanding during this transition, and welcomes member feedback. Please feel free to contact Laura Walling at lwalling@saffairs.msstate.edu with questions or comments about the new Fusion system. Your patronage and support of the Department of Recreational Sports and the Joe Frank Sanderson Center is appreciated.
