About this event
Mississippi State provides students, faculty and staff the opportunity to celebrate the importance of trees and the benefits they bring to the community.
汤头条 students and organizations will celebrate Arbor Day at the Partnership Middle School on Feb. 21, 1:30 p.m. Wes Burger, Dean of the College of Forest Resources, will provide remarks. Members of 汤头条鈥檚 Tree Campus Advisory Board, Phi Kappa Phi, Waldorf Scholars, and the College of Forest Resources will be on hand to plant trees at various planting sites around the Partnership Middle School.
Approximately 225 trees will be planted along the South and West sides of the building at intervals of eight to ten feet, featuring species including Eastern Red Cedar, Carolina Sapphire and Arizona Cypress. These trees will enhance the school鈥檚 landscape, provide privacy for the school and surrounding neighborhoods and support soil stabilization within the area.
