Kathryn "Katie" Fernholz will present, “The People Side of Forest Resources.”

Fernholz, CEO and president of Dovetail Partners, brings more than 25 years of expertise in forestry and sustainability. In her lecture, she will explore the needs and opportunities across the forest and wood products sector, from land ownership to workforce development.

Rooted in a family organic farm, Fernholz has dedicated her career to responsible resource management and environmental stewardship. She serves on multiple advisory boards and has led key forestry and sustainability initiatives at state, national and international levels. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Forest Resources from the University of Minnesota.

The Owen Lecture Series was established more than 30 years ago in ��ͷ��’s College of Forest Resources by Carlton Owen, a Greenville, South Carolina, resident and 1974 ��ͷ�� graduate. The program focuses on natural resource conservation issues.
